Shangri-la's Tanjung Aru Resort & Spa
	Revised Renovation Advice 
	
	The management of the Shangri-la Tanjung Aru Resort 
	have advised they have been undergoing renovations 
	since 1 September 2010 until 31 March 2011.
	
	Due to an unexpected occurrence caused by a technical
	malfunction, the handover of the swimming pool has
	been delayed to the end of the month. Other facilities such
	as the water play area, Cool Box ice-cream bar and Coco
	Joe's Bar & Grill have also been rescheduled to finish
	by the end of March.	
	
	
	New dates:
	1 September 2010 to 31 March 2011 - Swimming Pool 

	The hotel is converting the existing pools into one large 
	pool and recreational area. The new pool will include 
	a new children's water playground and tapered shoreline.
	The swimming pools will not be available during the works.

	01 September 2010 to 31 March 2011 - Coco Joe's
	Restaurant:
	
 	Coco-Joes's will be redesigned and include construction 
	of an extended timber deck along the beach. Alternative 
	garden dining will be made available during this period.

	6 October 2010 to 31 March 2011 - Kinabalu Wing:
	The hotel will be undertaking roof repairs.
	
	
	Currently Operational:
	01 November 2010 to 30 January 2011 - Sunset Bar:
	The Sunset Bar  will not be available during this period. 
	Alternative garden dining will be available.

	
	Currently Operational:
	01 November 2010 to 15 March 2011 - Health Club:
	The Health Club is being extended into the old Blue Note 
	nightclub. Health club services will be extended, with a 
	new personal training area, locker rooms, juice bar and 
	consultation room. The gym will be moved to a temporary 
	location while the health club is being extended and renovated.  
	The temporary location will have limited exercise equipment, 
	shower and changing facilities. 

	01 November 2010 to 31 March 2011 - Guestroom balcony and building
	facade repairs:
	The hotel will be repairing the balustrades on the balconies of the 
	guestrooms and work will be undertaken on the facade of the Tanjung
	Wing.

	The Blue Note nightclub is no longer operating. It was closed 
	permanently as of the 31 August 2010.

	During renovation work the above facilities will not be 
	available however all other facilities will operate as normal.

	Works will be carried out 24 hours a day. With heavy work 
	from 9.00am to 6.00pm, intermittently heavy work from 6.00pm 
	to 10.00pm and low level noise 10.00pm to 9.00am.The hotel has 
	advised they will do all possible to ensure guests comfort, 
	during renovation period.

	If your passengers wish to amend their accommodation, New 
	Horizons Holidays will waiver any amendment fees.
